Compilation Networks originally started out as the site Advent Children.net. The site was started a few weeks after the announcement of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Being a huge Final Fantasy fan [and more specifically in love with Sephiroth], this news certainly bought much over excitement. There was also a lot of excitement about the FF Fan community [as would be expected], which indicated an interest in such a site online.

Just over a week later, I was browsing the internet when I came up with an idea to start a information site as there wasn't much information all in the one place at the time. I registered the domain name www.adventchildren.net with the plan to make a site. After a hectic couple of weeks preparing for an anime convention, I finally had time to come up with a design [I actually run my own small web design business], put all the content together and created this site.

Advent Children.net was launched on 23 October, 2003. It has come a long way since it's beginnings. It is now considered one of the largest Final Fantasy fan sites on the internet, with hits exceeding 30,000 unique a day.

In August 2005, the first of the Compilation sites; Dirge of Cerberus.net was launched. The Compilation Network had been a long time in the planning, being planned as early as 12 months prior; many setbacks kept it from coming online.

That's really about it. There's no unusual story as to why this site started, it just happened out of my love for FFVII and more specifically Sephiroth. This site is dedicated to Sephiroth. For without my love for him, this site would not exist. It is because of him that I wanted to create something like this. For everything, Sephiroth, I thank you. I love you.
