Advent Children Complete is set to be released on June 2 in the US. The Blu-ray release of the movie will contain On the Way to a Smile as well as other features, but will not come with a FFXIII demo, instead only coming with a trailer. It will cost $38.95.

The Cloud Strife Static Arts figure is now available for purchase through the Japanese Square Enix store. The figure stands at 34cm high for a cost of 14,800 yen.

Visitors to the official Advent Children Complete website can send a virtual greeting card to friends. The "card generator" allows you to choose from a selection of images, music and logos to include on the card. You then enter your friend's email address and a message and they will be sent a ACC themed virtual greeting card.

The release of Advent Children Complete has given a boost in sales to the PlayStation 3. Figures for the PS3 went from 16,701 units in the previous week to 57,000 units the week of the movie's release.

Square Enix has issued a statement regarding the pirating of Advent Children Complete. According to the statement, Square Enix has already taken action to have copies removed from servers where it has been found to be uploaded. Although one would guess they just issue notices like they did to us when we had a "trailer" online.

Early sales figures in Japan have shown that over 100,000 copies of Advent Children Complete have been sold in the first week. The previous top selling Blu-ray anime title came in at under 35,000 with Macross F (Frontier) 1 last year.

Japanese site Intermezzo has posted a feature comparing both Advent Children Complete and the Final Fantasy XIII demo on HD and analogue TVs. Whereas most of the article does refer to the FFXIII demo, the section at the end relates to Advent Children and shows some small comparisons.
