After the destruction of much of Midgar by Meteor, Denzel was left without parents.
As an orphan he learnt to fend for himself and was involved in the rebuilding of
Edge, gathering materials from the old city.
In Advent Children, Denzel has contracted the disease Geostigma. He lives at Seventh
Heaven under the care of Tifa who has taken him in. However, it is Cloud who Denzel
looks up to the most. When Cloud is away, Denzel awaits his return.
Like many other children, Denzel is lured away from Edge by Kadaj and his group.
